Caprice Young Superintendent Tool of Gulen Magnolia Science Academy tells a big lie
Caprice Young publicly denies the obvious-even-to-the-Turkish-government link between her charter chain and the Gulen Movement. Her assertion about human rights would raise the eyebrows of thousands of people jailed in Turkey during the former collaboration between the Gulenists and the equally authoritarian President Erdogan. My question is this: why is a secretive sect leader with grand political ambitions being funded in the US via the charter school sector?
Incidentally, one of the Magnolia board members just dropped $100k on Correct The Record, a Hillary super-pac. The Gulenists glommed onto the Clintons a long time ago and it's been nothing but love and money ever since; they undoubtedly view Hillary Clinton as central to their worldwide advancement.

About the Gulen Movement in Colorado, Mosaic Foundation
Not much can be said about the Gulen Movement, as they have not be able to grow past 1 school in Aurora, CO called Lotus School of Excellence. The former principal was Umit Yapanel (Matt) who is now in California working with the other "Gulen inspired" Schools Magnolia Science Academy. Other than a failed attempt to expand the school some 5 years ago, Yapanel was shamed. It seems Yapanel's fragile Turkish ego couldn't accept that the County and schools didn't want him or his lackluster "not so excellent" school. Yapanel then did the Gulen shuffle, hired an attorney that represented the schools at the state level, only to be shut out again.
Mosaic Foundation has had a few little marginal victories with a Denver Capital informative table set up about Turkish culture. They have also taken the Governor of Colorado, John Hickenlooper to Turkey, who reportedly admitted to people it was an informative trip but brought nothing by way of business for Colorado.
Other than feeding homeless people in the parks to gain a foothold into the community (there are many pre existing dialogue groups in Denver) it seems Mosaic Foundation has to scrape the bottom of the barrel for any sort of attention.

How the Gulen network penetrated the Clinton Campaign and American Education
As America increases its global ties and interacts with foreign ways and cultures, it imports the good, the bad and the ugly.
A Turkish Muslim cleric named Fethullah Gülen, who resides in Pennsylvania, appears to have brought an unhealthy mix of politics and religion to his country of asylum.
The myriad of organizations affiliated with the Gülen movement include banks, newspapers, universities, charities, research institutes, and the largest network of private Muslim schools in the world. The school curriculum is not overtly Islamist, and claims to focus on science, technology, engineering and math (also known as STEM).
Unfortunately, it appears that these operations are being used like a giant vacuum cleaner to syphon off hundreds of millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars, with the leading role in these activities being played by the Gülen-inspired U.S. network of charter schools, the largest in the country. Taken together, they receive approximately $150 million a year in tax breaks and subsidies.
Some say the Gülenist organization is a combination of cult, cabal and corporation. Most concerning, it appears to be busy buying, using and abusing political power.
The web reaches up to the corridors of the U.S. Congress and down to local schools from Texas to Tahoe. According to a USA TODAY investigation, over 200 trips for congressmen and congressional staff have been sponsored by Gülenist entities.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Clinton Foundation have taken in hundreds of thousands of dollars from Gülen’s followers, including from Recep Ozkan, former president of the Gülen-connected Turkish Cultural Center.
The ties also go directly to the Democratic presidential candidate. The same Mr. Ozkan hosted then-Sen. Hillary Clinton at Ramadan dinners in 2006 and 2007. He contributed $25,000 to her 2008 presidential campaign. As an executive of JIG Corp, Everglobel Partners and Baharu Inc., he gave $25,000 to the pro-Clinton Ready PAC in 2014 and topped it with extra $5,400 last year.
And not only Democrats have benefited. Numerous other Gülen-affiliated Turkish Americans, including Gokhan Ozkok, who is connected to the Turkish Cultural Center, Sema Education, Apple Education Services, the Turkic-American Business Network, the Istanbul Center, Peace Islands Institute, Global Spectrum Foundation and the Turkish American Business Council, have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Clinton, Jeb Bush, and other campaigns, Republican and Democrat.
Some of the Gülenist money to Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) came from out of state and despite donations in thousands of dollars, the supposed donors reported incomes below $40,000 and no home ownership.
Other Gülenist donors did not know candidates to whom they donated. They had no idea that Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), is a woman, not a man. In the segregated and misogynistic culture promoted by the Gülen movement, a woman apparently cannot be conceived of as a Senator.
Sen. Ayotte has returned $43,000 of Gülen donations – however the Clinton campaign is procrastinating, and so are other beneficiaries.
Currently, the FBI is engaged in a massive probe of Gülenist activities in this country. However, the investigation is limited to the Gülen-linked schools.
The political ambition of the global movement is obvious. It is the task of law enforcement to protect our politics, our country, and most importantly our children, from illicit external influences. Therefore, as FBI investigates the network, it can also look into the political donations by the members of the movement.
In a speech to an inner circles of supporters, Gülen is quoted as saying:
Turkey is an important American ally, a bridge between Europe and Asia, sitting astride the Middle East, the Black Sea, and the Caucasus. However, until matters are completely cleared, it is time for political candidates to return the Gülen network campaign and charity money while the FBI does its job and carries on the painstaking work of investigations. It is also the time for the U.S. Congress to get to the bottom of this web of money, power and influence, and shine the light of justice on it – once and for all.

Until the conditions are ripe, they [the followers] must continue like this. If they do something prematurely, the world will crush our heads, and Muslims will suffer everywhere. . . . Now, I have expressed my feelings and thoughts to you all—in confidence . . . trusting your loyalty and secrecy. I know that when you leave here, [just] as you discard your empty juice boxes, you must discard the thoughts and the feelings that I expressed here.While he was talking about Turkey, it is not unreasonable to question whether the same paradigm is now being applied to the US. Turkey, by the way, has taken steps to protect itself from the fugitive cleric and his followers by cracking down on their organizations and issuing a warrant for Gülen’s arrest.

Gulen Million Dollar Donor List to Clintons- See how many are attached to charter schools over $1.2 Million
Members of a secretive Turkish Islamic movement that is at the center of a congressional ethics committee investigation have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and to her family’s charity, a Daily Caller investigation has found.
The largest donation from a leader of the Gulen movement, which is operated from Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains by a moderate Muslim cleric named Fethullah Gulen, came from Recep Ozkan. (RELATED: Here’s A Map Of Radical Mosques In The U.S. [Interactive])
A former president of the Gulen-linked Turkish Cultural Center, Ozkan gave between $500,001 and $1,000,000 to the Clinton Foundation in recent months, the charity’s website shows. He also served as a national finance co-chair last year for a pro-Clinton political action committee called Ready PAC.
According to Portland State University political science professor Birol Yesilada, who has studied the Gulen movement for more than 25 years, Ozkan is the New York liaison for the 74-year-old Gulen, who has lived in the Poconos since 1999 when he went into exile after he was accused of attempting to undermine Turkey’s secular regime in order to institute an Islamic state.
Gulen also recently ran afoul of Turkey’s president, Recip Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan accused Gulenists of operating a “parallel state,” and he reportedly lobbied President Obama last month to extradite Gulen back to Turkey.
By most accounts, the Gulen movement, or Hizmet as it is known to some, is not a radical Islamic movement. Yesilada, who serves as the contemporary Turkish Studies endowed chair at Portland State University, told TheDC in an interview that he has found no evidence of Gulenist ties to any terrorist groups.
But with an estimated 8 million followers and $50 billion in assets, Gulenists do hope to influence both the U.S. and Turkish political system through a worldwide network of businesses, nonprofit organizations, media companies and charter schools, Yesilada and others familiar with the group have claimed.

To help support its diverse interests, Gulen movement supporters in the U.S. have in recent years begun to donate heavily to numerous political campaigns. Gulenists have also paid for hundreds of Turkish “cultural” trips for members of Congress from both sides of the political aisle.
Gulenists’ contributions to congressional campaigns have been known for some time, as Buzzfeed reported last year. Texas Reps. Sheila Jackson-Lee 13% and Henry Cuellar 21%
, both Democrats, are among the biggest benefactors of Gulen contributions.
USA Today reported last month that the House ethics committee has investigated more than 200 trips taken by members of Congress since 2008 that were secretly funded by Gulen groups.
While the ethics committee found that none of the members of Congress who went on the trips violated federal regulations, investigators found evidence suggesting that the Gulenists “may have affirmatively lied to and/or withheld information” about the junkets and falsified disclosures provided to Congress.
The matter has since been referred to the Department of Justice. The FBI has also reportedly investigated whether the Gulen movement’s charter schools — of which there are more than 130 — have taken advantage of the H1-B visa system by hiring Turkish teachers who are kicking back some of their government-paid salaries to the Gulen movement.
Some of the Gulenist campaign donations may have been illegal as well, USA Today reported on Friday. The newspaper reported that New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte 33%
, a Republican, returned $43,100 in donations she received from 19 Turkish donors with ties to Gulen that she received on April 30, 2014.
Many of those donors who gave to Ayotte could not be located, USA Today reported. Others gave donations that comprised a suspiciously large percentage of their incomes.
In giving back the donations, Ayotte called on other politicians, including Clinton, to return Gulen money. The Clinton campaign did not respond to an email from TheDC asking whether the Democrat would return the contributions.
Clinton has been the biggest recipient of Gulenist donations of any presidential candidate this cycle, federal election records show.
